Covid 19 and nursing shortages.

Covid 19 and nursing shortages.

Nursing shortages are expected to be a problem for the foreseeable future. In the wake of COVID-19, this problem is exacerbated. Nurses are dealing with an increased strain on their mental health, which can lead to burnout and job dissatisfaction.

But nurses are not alone in this struggle. Hospitals are also feeling the strain of nurses who are struggling to cope with the effects of COVID-19. Many nurses have been forced out of their jobs due to medical leave or were unable to take time off when they needed it because their employer did not have enough staff to cover shifts.

In addition, many nurses feel unsupported by their employers when it comes to taking care of patients with behavioral health issues related to COVID-19. This can be difficult for nurses who might want more training or resources for dealing with these patients and families, but don't feel comfortable asking for them because they fear retaliation from management or other staff members who may not understand what it means for people's mental health when they don't get what they need during this crisis time in our country's history—or even worse, that those people might think that those needs are just "too much" right now!
